I have an 8 car length driveway protected by an electric gate leading to my garage and house. For years I have had to ask people (friends and daily clients) to text or call me when they are close so I could come out and let them in. WIFi doorbells wouldn't go through the garage firewall and I wasn't savvy enough to figure it out another way. I didn't want to hire an electrician to hardwire because I really didn't know what was best for my setup. I would look online, get frustrated, and walk away. The other day I tried again and was immediately connected to 1800doorbell. The first item had 333 reviews. "The signal goes through concrete, metal, and wood, travels long distance, etc." "Hmmmmm", what is this I said. The ERA series, made for warehouse but also used on farms and property where distance is an issue and gates are a long way off from the house, building, warehouse, etc. I called the company and explained my setup. Helpful, courteous, knowledgeable, friendly. This is unusual I thought. Oh yea, Georgia, not California where I Iive. I now have a doorbell on my outside gate that rings two receivers in my house. I have a driveway motion sensor that rings a different melody to alert me to a car pulling in. And,,,,,, I have a portable receiver I can carry in my pocket in case I am outside. It alerts me to the driveway sensor and the doorbell. It has been foolproof. I can't be anymore pleased. Thank you!

I was looking for a old style Door bell with a solid sound to it... Like my folks used to have in our house when I grew up. The new stuff commonly found at the box stores with the simple bar ringers did not cut it with me... And the fancy electronic fake sounds didn't do it for me either... This one with the brass tubes sounds sweet...

I purchased a doorbell chime and two buttons. I like it very much. I had one just like it before with a walnut cover and it lasted a long time about 18 years with very few battery changes. I believe it would have continued to work after I replaced the batteries but the tubes I had to squeeze and snap out broke and it couldn't be replaced. It wouldn't worked that way. I like the fact that it has several different chime tones so I have one button at two bongs and the front door set at the Westminster chime tone. It works fine and I can hear it all over my house.

I purchased the door bell with the strobe for my sisters apartment. This is to notify her if there is someone in the hall, such as a maintainance person, that needs access to her apartment. It is also so that we can let her know that we are in the hall before entering. This is the perfect product. It is woreless, easy to intall, and works as advertised. Could not be happier.

We have tried many other door bell entry systems for our shop. All the cheaper ones only lasted a month or two. Also they only worked when the doors were physically opened. Now the new unit works as people cross into the thresh hold by movement alone so we can open the doors and still hear people walking in. It was very easy to set up and so far so good. The only very slight drawback was a limited choice of ringer sounds but the normal "ding dong" is fine. No one sneeking up on us any more!

This is a basic plastic doorbell button that works well and the light is very bright. It's longer and more narrow in size compared to other doorbell buttons so it fits well in tight narrow mounting locations. Most lighted doorbell buttons burn out after a while like my old one did but I hope this new Carlon lighted button lasts a very long time.

I bought this T1630 transformer along with a new Craftmade doorbell chime to replace the original 40+ year old Nutone doorbell and transformer in my home. I also installed a Lorex doorbell camera and wanted the larger 30W transformer to ensure enough power was available. The transformer is huge in physical size and mounts into an electrical box knockout hole but you can't tighten it up enough to where it won't move around which isn't good. Otherwise the transformer works great and provides sufficient power for both my new doorbell chime and Lorex camera...I highly recommend this transformer despite it's mounting design flaw.

This doorbell is great for me as I am severe hearing impaired and the flashing strobe light is wonderful. It alerts me that someone is at my door. I love it. I would definately recommend this door bell and so easy to install.

1800 Doorbell! was a great buying experience and shipped my order quickly so I would buy from them again. I purchased a Lorex doorbell camera that was not compatible with the original 40+ year old Nutone doorbell in my home. I chose this doorbell as a replacement because it was on the Lorex approved compatibility list and had the most positive reviews, plus it blends well with our interior. Unfortunately, my old Nutone doorbell did not have any wallpaper behind it and this doorbell would not physically cover up the same wall area so my son 3-D printed a custom white backplate as shown in the photo which looks nice as if it came with the doorbell. This doorbell is intended to be mounted vertically because the tubes enhance the sound which may not be as loud if you mount it horizontally although the installation instructions are not specific. I also installed a new T1630 transformer and highly recommend it if you are installing a doorbell camera. Overall I'm pleased with this doorbell purchase and hope it provides years of good trouble free service.

Got 2 replacement wireless doorbell buttons, added them to the one working button, now all doorbell buttons work again! Great, and VERY easy to order and place in service ... each plays it's own sound too.

As my wife and I are getting older and perhaps having hearing loss, I have found that placing additional door chimes throughout the home helps our signaling each other.

We are very pleased with our new doorbell. We have a large, open concept house so we didn't want something wimpy. It has a nice tone and can be heard throughout the house. The cover is plastic but it's painted so nicely that you cannot tell. Plus, it's mounted up high, so it doesn't matter.

We were looking for a replacement doorbell that wasn't too small or too large. This fit the bill. Two wires to hook up and two screws to install. Easy.

I’ve used the driveway security system for several years. I am very satisfied and have added more transmitters for additional security in other areas. It’s very simple to install and the customer service is exceptional.

I installed a single button with two receivers 300 feet apart in our warehouse. The setup took only a few minutes and it works perfectly.

Ordered another receiver for outdoor balcony... both worked the first time installed with same transmitter... Easy to install... drilled a notch on the cover to pass wires. The one on the balcony will be removed during our Canadian winters.

My mom has become deaf and can no longer hear the doorbell. I installed several battery-powered devices (Safeguard LRA-DCRXA) around the house, coupled with the transmitter from the extender kit (LRA-EX1000S) that connects to the existing doorbell chime (I just had to connect 3 wires from the transmitter to the existing Nutone chime). The you-tube video, combined with the written instructions made the coupling of the bluetooth technology really easy. Very nice looking chime box, made of wood. We painted ours to match the mantel in the living room next door. Chime is a pleasant old-fashioned "ding-dong". Nothing too fancy. Just solid construciton, good materials and easy to install. The price is right as well.

I bought this to allow for the possibility of adding additional chimes. It is overkill for one chime on a short run, but on the other hand, there is plenty of power to ring my one chime very clearly. My one complaint is that it attaches to the box with a set screw rather than a nut (attaching with a nut is MUCH more secure).

Exactly what we needed

I purchased the C3301 Carlon Dimango Compatible Wireless Doorbell Push Button system and an additional push button for the 1899 Victorian home recently bought. Tearing into walls to do wiring for a doorbell was not an option. This Victorian as typical has two front doors. The fact that I could install a push button at each door with an individualized ringtone is the perfect solution. Now I know which door a guest or a delivery is being made at. The system has worked perfectly for my use.

We purchased the doorbell for my uncle in assisted living. Since he doesn’t wear the hearing aid all day, the flashing light has been a great help when someone is at the door. He has a receiver in the living room and one in the bedroom.

The doorbell is very much as described. The material quality is good. I envisioned the lighting of the doorbell to only show up when it is dark, but in our entry, it is shaded, so the light shows all the time, and it has a bit of a yellowy tint. Goes well with new walllights and door handle set. Service was excellent and shipping time was as promised.

Works great. One doorbell at customer entrance. 2nd doorbell at warehouse delivery door. Door contact on mailbox to be alerted we have mail. Mailbox is about 200 feet from the receiver. Receiver is also located in the center of a metal building. Couldn't be happier with the performance.

The chime alerts you to when someone breaks the beam, just as expected. You can add on to the alert system expanding where the chime will be heard. This is for a shop so the sound is loud enough to hear well, even when not near the speaker. Very satisfied with the product.

4500 sqf home with a single hard wired doorbell center of main floor. If on the 3 season porch or in the basement could never hear doorbell. After missing to "signature required" fedex deliveries while on the porch, I did some research and bought this product. Put one receiver on porch and one in basement. Now I can even hear the doorbell of out on the patio with a window open on the porch.
