- It is not a wireless receiver and will not work by itself without a compatible transformer, button, and wiring.
- Mounting and fit
- Wired chimes mount to the wall over the wire opening, usually on two or three screws, with the cover hiding the wiring. Compare the cover size to the old chime so it hides any paint line or old holes, and make sure there is room to reach the front, trans, and rear terminals.

Does this door bell chime work with ring video door bell.
I would definitely check with the supplier of your video doorbell to be sure as we do not sell those products and are not experts. However, what we frequently run across is problems with wired doorbells used in conjunction with video doorbells. This usually happens because the wired doorbell transformer does not have enough amps or VA to supply both units. I would recommend a 30VA transformer like this one https://www.1800doorbell.com/t1630-16v-30w-transformer.htm or a "tri-volt" like this: https://www.1800doorbell.com/gbase-dh910.htm A standard 10VA transformer would work fine for this chime, but coupling it with a video doorbell requires too much VA...go with something stronger like the 30VA transformer.

Does this come with a push button?

I bought this and have it installed using the recommended transformer and wiring but the bell just fully chime. It only lets off one short ring now instead of the full ring like it used to. Only rang correctly once or twice and now only the one short one. How do we fix this or is it a faulty unit that we need to request a replacement for?
