I didn't have much hope when I ordered this Doorbell. I tried others and they all were barely noticeable but to my surprise this thing actually lived up to it's promise. The Metal dongs where the plungers hit are a lot larger than the usual doorbells. The installation was straight forward and Super Easy. Even a Caveman like myself could do it. Then came the test and sure enough I could hear a big difference and a nice loud traditional DING DONG. Now I don't know if it is really 80 decibels but it is definitely louder and can be heard in the farthest room downstairs and in the Bonus Room upstairs. So after trying several traditional chimes only to return them, I finally found one that I will keep.

I've tried all sorts of wireless doorbells, Honeywell, etc and none worked well enough. The 1800 Doorbell Extender does the job perfectly. It's a large home and this unit easily has the range for full coverage. Easy to set up and there are many options. It's brilliant, I'm thrilled!

We recently moved into a new home and we never hear the doorbell! We ordered the door bell extension with 2 receivers. We did have to call for assistance for programming. We struggled with the instructions but once she walked us thru the setup -they have worked wonderfully. We have a ring for the front door and s different ring for the back door. (There are several to chose from) Each ring is very different. We can hear them very clearly. Having the two receivers leaves one in the main part of the house and a second one that can go to different areas on the property as long as there is an electrical outlet for it. We don’t miss the deliveries or guests any more!

Already had one doorbell extender receiver installed in the house but wasn't hearing the doorbell well in one area of the house. This product seamlessly added a second doorbell by simply plugging into the wall outlet with no extra configuring. I also like thar the older doorbell extender was 10 years old and the newer product seamlessly worked.

Could not hear my doorbell in any of my rooms except my main room. This solved the problem. Sound a little “tinny” which is why I gave it 4 stars but I have not tried to other tones other than the default. Certainly loud enough. 1800 Doorbell customer service excellent.

I have these same drive way monitors but the old style, My original reciever quit on me ( 15 + years old ) so I had to order a new version one, they work great, I got a couple extra transmitters so I'm well covered , both driveways and the side of the shop.

This was purchased for the front door of our 1500’ sqft shop that is usually open. Works great The speaker was placed in the back work area. Chime is loud and clear to alert when someone walks in. Perfect for our needs!

When they say very long range, they really mean it! It's really easy to setup and works great across our warehouse. Very happy with this purchase!

Hooked everything up in a short afternoon. I did connect some aftermarket lights to the receiver. They were also 12v. No big deal. Now I have an entire shop that lights up when someone comes into the office. Just what I needed.

Is there a way to turn down the volume on the ringer? It is louder than before we had to replace the power source. It is like it is too loud that the sound vibrates. Please let me know if we can adjust the volume or ringer. Thank you!

I did not realize I could replace the wireless Push Button switch for the doorbell. Instead of having to replace the entire unit all I needed was the outside switch. It ended up costing less and the shipping and handling fee was small. It worked very well, including allowing me to change the ring tones. Very pleased indeed.

Went online to order a driveway alert unit for a friend. I already owned a Dakota system. System arrived quickly and works fine. Very pleased with system and service

Added this to our front dooebell. Now it also rings upstairs so we can hear better.

Nice bell. However, there is very little clearance on the back connection screws, I used a small piece of rubber to insulate them. Could use a little more clearance or a backplate.

Not cheap plastics, has the solid feel of a quality button. works with no issues. Light is yellow in color not a white LED color. Did put a bit of clear silicone around the bell as not sure how water ingress may impact corrosion and life span

Wow! Love our new chime system. We put up sensor at entry door... drug aisle... candy aisles. During slow times allows my staff and myself to step away and do other tasks. Then our new "little helpers" let us know when customers have arrived or need extra attention in other areas of the store. Super easy install... The sending unit I received had a defect. I contacted you by email. Almost immediately you replied that you would send me a replacement. I repaired the defect and telephoned you and said do not send me a replacement. All is working as designed and I thank you for your immediate (10 minute) responce. You stated that you will inspect all the rest of the units before shipping to other customers, unusual service, keep it up.

This unit works extremely well in a LARGE warehouse in Elgin, IL. Installed one unit with Bell at loading docks and another at the complete opposite end of the building approx 325ft distance away, (era-dcrx with bell and stobe) . Signal must pass thru concreete exterior wall and fully stocked warehouse, purchasing another unit for the shop manager to install in his office. Great product hope it has longevity

Attractive and unique design, traditional dingdong chime is loud and clear. LED illumination is the perfect touch. Glad there’s at least one company still making traditional wired doorbells!

I recently bought a replacement doorbell, matching the brand and model previously installed. Everything working good. Wish the extra push button cost as much as the replacement doorbell kit that comes with only one push button. Buttons only last a few years unless you silicone coat them on booth sides and you have to do that yourself.

Much larger than expected…it’s ginormous!!!

I needed 4 new sensors and was exactly the right type and received them quickly for a great price.

Mom wanted an auxiliary doorbell that she did not have to carry around, or recharge often. The doorbell worked with her existing chimes and was a ten-minute setup (by a non-handyman). With separate tones for the front and back bells, and the additional strobe option, she couldn't be happier. She can detect the doorbell, even with the TV turned up! I bought a second unit for my basement. No more, "Was that the doorbell?" when I am in the rec room. If the bell is rung, you know it. Life changer for Mom and a step-saver for me.

Used this to replace an old wired system that was intermittent and problematic. Works just as expected and we purchased a second receiver for better coverage in our office. Satisfied customer Will likely need another in the future.

I installed the wireless button and three chimes with strobe lights at my Dad’s. He is profoundly hard of hearing and even with hearing aids cannot hear the door bell. The chimes with strobe lights were placed in the areas of his home he frequents and now he knows when someone is at his door. The set up and installation were really simple. The only thing that took some time was avoiding placing the button directly on stucco. I had to fashion a wooden base under the button to help extend the range. This is an easy solution to a common problem. The products arrived when promised, work as promised and were easy to install.

At this time I cannot give it a higher rating because it is not yet installed. I am hoping to be able to hire an electrician to put it in for me this coming week. I could tell you that I like the looks of it, I’ll love wrought iron and have many different pieces this doorbell will work in perfectly with my decorations.

After five years or so, my doorbell switch stopped working. They replaced the unit in no time flat for a very fair price.

We needed to cover a wider opening in the door frame than the usual, run of the mill door bells. This worked perfectly. The doorbell is attractive, different and has a light to make it easy to see at night.

Single tone quiet doorbell if you have a quiet environment that would be fine but this doorbell is not loud enough for a noisy house or even one with a TV or radio on

Finally, will be able to know when someone rings my doorbell. The flashing light is great with variety tunes to select. Customer Service awesome to guide new install directions.

I would have given it 5 stars except that I purchased this unit to replace an identical unit (except for night light) that failed and started to hum after a couple years, probably because of bad capacitor(s) in the power supply. Push button came sooner than expected, which was great. Installed the new part, and it work perfectly and matched with all the other push buttons.(apartment fix). I should’ve ordered more, at least when I do, I know it will come fast and they stock it.

The order was filled in a timely manner. The carton was damaged in shipping, damaging one of the candles. A piece was broken off a candle. I was able to repair it and the candle works fine. No fault of your company, but s--t happens.
