Buying notes
Is this the right fit?
- Good fit when
- Use this when you need an additional compatible push button at a door, gate, counter, driveway, or other alert point.
- Look at another option when
- Choose a kit instead if you do not already have a compatible receiver. This transmitter sends the signal; it does not make the chime sound by itself.
- Range reality
- 150 ft is the published open-air distance from this transmitter to a compatible receiver. Walls, metal, masonry, vehicles, shelving, and dense trees can reduce that distance.
- Setup note
- Mount the push button where visitors or staff can press it easily and where its signal can reach the receiver. Pair it to the receiver, then set the tone or zone on the receiver side.
The RC4133 is best thought of as a replacement or add-on wireless button for existing compatible Carlon doorbell systems. Its main advantage is appearance: the brushed nickel-style finish gives it a more finished look than the simplest stock transmitters, which can matter when the button is mounted on a visible front entry.
This button is rated for outdoor use when mounted correctly, and it includes the typical practical features shoppers look for in a wireless transmitter: sound selection access on the face, weather resistance, a low-battery signal to the receiver, and a compact size that is easy to place near the door. As with most wireless buttons, nearby metal can reduce range, so mounting surface and building conditions still matter.

I purchased this doorbell to go with another Carlton product, RC3520 Wireless battery operated chime kit. It looks nicer than the button that came with the chime kit. They work fine together and it was very easy to set up. Thank you, very happy customer here.

I now have 3 door bell buttons working. They are strategically located, with the enunciator mounted in the stairwell going to our basement. My wife is a paraplegic and this enables her to call me from three different locations in the house up on the main floor. I can her 'page' me from anywhere I am located down in the basement. Works very well for us. I am glad I was able to purchase the buttons to add to my system which previously served in the traditional door bell installation. Thank you very much!
