This is a charming doorbell and substantial weight. Would have been great on my Craftsman style home. Alas, I didn't check the spacing between screws and it's too short for the hole distance already drilled in the wall. Sorry to have to return it, but live and learn.

Now a days you have to be so careful about internet purchases, it’s very easy to pay out money for something and get junk or ripped off. This is a great product, not too expensive and this bells work great. Mine are installed in a place that details vehicles, loud vacuum cleaners, high pressure wash, buffers, and these bells can be heard over all these items going at once. I purchased 3 transmitters, the main unit and 3 bells. I programmed all transmitters to one zone and paralleled the bells all under that zone. The unit can handle 400 mA per zone 12 volt output, the bells are 40, so it handles the output for the 3 bells perfectly. As of now am very happy with the purchase. Also used customer support to verify I could put all the bells on the same output. They were very helpful, didn’t keep me waiting all day. Great customer service. Would recommend this company’s product to anyone and would definitely purchase from them again.

These are high quality units, very well made, and the fit and finish is excellent. However, while the strobe light is super bright (and the main reason that I decided to keep it), the sound level of the chimes was not nearly as loud as I expected or needed (I am using it in a home-based woodworking shop). Therefore, I had to purchase a second receiver/strobe unit in order to place it in the same room. Note: my hearing is perfectly normal. One receiver simply wasn't loud enough. P.S. Marilee in customer service was excellent and a joy to deal with. She is very knowledgeable and friendly.

We have concrete block walls and regular studded drywall and the receivers are up to 75 feet away with no direct line of sight and they work flawless. Our setting is a combination office/warehouse setting.

We’re really happy with it. Only note is that the website description does not say what the packaging says very prominently: that this can’t be used with a battery:operated doorbell. So be ready to install a doorbell transformer if you don’t have one.

My wife has been sick for sometime, she can't walk very-fare and at time's is unable to get out of bed on her own we have been looking for something to let me know if she needs my help. My hearing is getting bad can't hear door bell so I came across this, set it up for door bell and added a wireless push button door bell so stet it up for her to have near by and alerts me when she needs help.

It works as advertised. I was concerned about it not working through a steel building, but it works fine. I just wish it was louder. Hard to hear when exhaust fan is running.

Doorbell was as advertised - classic chime. Looks like the picture. Would help to have a paper template of the mounting plate to make placing the screws easier.

The ERA-EXKIT solved our meager door bell in our older home. We can hear the doorbell all over the house now. We will not miss our visiting friends again because we just were not able to hear the doorbell. What a great easy solution! Highly recommend!

I can hear the doorbell. the 1800 receiver creates a tune that meets my hearing needs. The assistance for product selection was great. The tunes with the flashing light are more effective at night. This unit is worth the investment.

The drive way alarm works super. I had a motion sensor type but I would get false alarms in the middle of the night when deer tripped the sensor. The hose across the drive does a great job . Going to get another one for my sons drive way.

Had trouble with receivers loosing contact with the button. Seems that programming mode was not exited properly. Cleared memory and started over to make them all work properly. I have 3 receivers and one button.

It looks really sharp against wood siding of our house in the PNW. Such an improvement from the stark white doorbell that we previously had. It was easy to install. A win… win!!

I purchased this doorbell to go with another Carlton product, RC3520 Wireless battery operated chime kit. It looks nicer than the button that came with the chime kit. They work fine together and it was very easy to set up. Thank you, very happy customer here.

Easy to install with a drill and screw driver. Installed three in a half hour. They are loud enough to hear throughout the house but not an obnoxious tune like all the electronic ones that quit after a few months have. Just a nice single chime.

The door bell I replaced was installed in 1979 and had been painted to match the walls. The new door bell arrived promptly and had the exact cover. The new bell fit exactly like the old one and I just exchanged covers without having to have paint mixed.

I talked with a very nice, knowledgeable, Lady on a doorbell decision, she explained how they work and explained a few models that wood do what we needed...we received them very fast....read the very short instruction sheet (so easy). We got the front door & back door paired with no problem...and each had a different bell sound (which we needed)...they have been working great all this week...And they have a 1 year warranty!! Price was a great deal also. We use them in a large commercial building for our sign shop.

Everything showed up quickly and damage free. It took me a few minutes to figure out what I was doing. put a button up front and one at the rear door of our warehouse. set two different tones mounted the unit out in the warehouse by the office area. it is loud enough for us to hear regardless where we are. With the ability to have 2 distinctive tones (or more) it keeps us from guessing which door to go to. Everyone is pleased with the ease and function. will keep you posted as we see how the longevity is.

So easy to install, and worked perfectly to bring a doorbell ring into another room without wiring.

The non-lighted button looks nice and works for an old garage door opener, but unfortunately the button press does not have the tactile feel I was hoping for. By tactile feel, I mean the perceptible click response of buttons found on electronic equipment, such as power and mouse buttons. Fortunately the button is bigger and requires less force to press than the old/previous button it replaced. I mounted the button on a blank nylon wall plate, but a metal wall plate would have been better since the plastic one noticeably flexes when the button is pressed.

I got this doorbell to replace the one I've had for over 10 years. I didn't want to have to install the mounting pieces. Everything worked out fine. The longest part of the project was getting it out of the package. I love that you can change the ringer!

Products arrived in record short time. I inadvertently oreder the LRA units AND the ERA units. I did not relaize that these TWO different technologies are NOT compatible. One simple call to their customer support resolved my mis-match and she gave me several options and easy to do tests at home. Buy this product and you will not regret your purchase. They do NOT use audio [sound] technology, rather radio signals, MUCH better.

I was unsure about this chime but, honestly, it was clear and louder that I had hoped. I actually tossed a cheaper chime in recycling after instaslling tihs one and ordered another for my own home!
