We purchased a sensor and it was reaching where we needed it to for a good while then just stopped reaching. We changed the batteries out and tried moving it and it would work close range but still not where we had it before. I called the company and they were so kind and helpful. They offered to send us another sensor at not charge in the hopes that it would work. Unfortunately it still does not reach where we need it and that's because we placed it close enough to where it wouldn't go over the distance claimed on the item. The gate sensor is very good however just does not reach quite as far as we need it to. We will still be using this one just not where we were before. We are now using it in the front of our facility and have purchased another one for the back with a further reaching distance of 2500ft instead of the 1500ft. I am grateful to the company for all their help and will still be using their product.

We have a warehouse 300 feet from the receiving dock. There is no way you are going to hear the regular door chime that we purchased so the portable alarm is the way to go. It works great for the times receiving is in the warehouse!

Got the unit to use as a panic button system for a convenience store. Receivers were placed in 2 separate buildings 500 ft away. Worked through 2 walls (one metal!) that distance away. Just what everyone needed! Recommend it.

Purchased this as part of a kit I put together for a friend who's wife has Alzheimer's. She wandered off while he was in the back yard. I installed a monitor at each door and he carries the receiver with him when ever he's outdoors or in the garage. System works great and he knows which door has been activated.

I wasn't sure what would work for my store. so i called and it was hard for me to explain, so i emailed them pictures of the store layout and was told the product that would be the right fit for my needs. It was a good price and i got it fast. i just used a 2 side Velcro to attach the sensor to the ceiling and it works perfect. i just wished i figured out how to change the sound because the way the instructions say don't work for some reason.

It works just like they said it would. We bought so drivers could ring the bell when they arrive at our dock door. Remote receivers work's very well back in our warehouse which is 250 feet from the doorbell.

We used this to announce customers in a c-store walk in cooler area and restaurant back kitchen. This gave our cashiers the ability to stock the drink cooler during shift hours in addition to the end of the shift. They are alerted a customer entered the store. So far everything is as I was told it would be. We put the receiver in our sound control booth at the rear of the church. We pressed the button from various locations and it connected every time. I do not expect any problems when everything is in final position. This will make it possible to know when someone with a handicap is entering building that needs assistance.

Bought a previous bell locally that didn’t work well due to walls in between. This works very well. Can have different sounds. Very happy and thought the price was good.

I received 2 bronze push buttons that did NOT say LED or LIGHTED on the packaging. My first thought was I received the wrong item. I called the vendor and questioned. The lady checked with her supplier and said that "it is a LIGHTED-LED pushbutton." I thanked her but, I was still doubtful. I took one of the pushbuttons apart and sure enough, there WAS a pinhead size LED soldered inside the backplate of the pushbutton. The inside has 2 very sturdy spring-type contacts which allow the button to be pushed at the top or bottom for a positive contact. Bottom line, the BS6-BZ lighted LED push button works as advertised and is of high quality.

Ok, some of the zone setup is a tiny bit confusing, but once you just keep going over the steps it's really a simple thing. So yeah I'm giving this full stars due to the following: Product performance - The range is incredible, even through the concrete wall of the warehouse and all of the racking, we can still reach the receiver easily. And if you're doing line of sight, I literally lost sight of the strobe, before I could lose signal. Ease of setup - There are some steps that seemed a bit unclear, but anyone that is mildly geeky, will figure it out, so give it to your biggest geek you know and they'll have it working inside of 20 minutes. Support staff - I had about 4-5 email exchanges before deciding on which items to include in my purchase. The support/sales persons I communicated with answered all of my questions and ensured I knew exactly what to get without me guessing and possibly purchasing incorrectly. Would definitely recommend this product and company to anyone looking to find a solution in this arena.

Purchased for a large distribution facility to let employees know when drivers have entered the cage for shipping/pickup. Tried off the shelf solution from big box stores with high hopes but higher failures! Purchased this unit after I saw one in use at another building and installed it the same day it arrived. The button is placed about 300' from the receiver, and we haven't missed a driver yet! Works as advertised. We are not signaling thru concrete, but there are many obstacles, such as machinery and racking that have not been an issue with this system. couldn't be happier.

This is my second Plug-In Door Chime Extender. I purchased an identical item from the same company about a year ago. It works so well that I decided to purchase another one for a family member. It also installs easily in a few minutes! I prefer the plug-in receiver because there is no worry about changing batteries. 1-800 Door Bell is a customer friendly company. You are the first person to ever say this about the product you purchased (specific comments in your first negative review we chose not to post). Regarding our customer service, you DID NOT reach out to 1800doorbell customer service until after your first negative review (which was not something we will post on our website). Second, we really try hard here to make our customers happy. You did not call to troubleshoot the product nor did you call the manufacturer. If you would have done either of these things 1) you would have received a replacement or a refund 2) you would see our customer service is good. We always do our best to put the customer first. However, in your case, your initial review was not posted because it was mean-spirited, unfounded, and would not help any consumer who was looking to purchase this product.

I've had one of these for about 15 years and loved it. So when it recently failed to ring, I looked around at my options. Nothing beats this item for my needs. No batteries to change, little effort to install it, and it simply works! But please pass on to the manufacturer that even on loud, the ringing is too quiet. Definitely quieter than my old unit.

Excellent product. We used velcro to mount it to the metal grid of a drop ceiling above the doorway entrance to our Frame Shop. Easy to set up. Although the directions are not explicit we figured it out. Works very well. We like the plain ding-dong tone. Threw away two systems that worked a short time. Both offered a multitude of long annoying sounds and songs. Worth the cost.

Hi Henry. Thanks for the feedback. You are correct, your sensor is a Passive Infrared Sensor and it is going pick up any movement heat.

I purchased and installed this driveway alarm a few days ago. The distance from alarm sensor to receiver in my house is about 160 feet. So far it has worked just as advertised. The only issue that should be considered is that this sensor is optical, so it alarms for vehicles and pedestrians. My old system (which died) was magnetically activated, so it detected only vehicles. So now when I open the gate, drive out, walk back to close the gate, and return to my car, the alarm goes off 3 times. That's not a flaw, just the way it works. Now it also alarms when I walk up to pick up the mail. Nevertheless, I really like the alarm and it seems completely reliable.

I purchased this doorbell along with Antique Hand-Carved, Hand-Painted Shabby Chic Design in Cream. I received both items in a timely manner and 1800doorbell.com was very professionally and attentive in handling my order and any questions that I had. The Electrician installed the doorbell last week, flawlessly, and we are very pleased with the Chime and the doorbell. The chime is a beautiful piece that blends in with any furniture quite nicely. The doorbell is awesome and the LED lighting is very bright and modern compared to the normal doorbells. We had not replaced our doorbell in 16 years, and believe me, this was well worth it!!

I ordered this doorbell in Black - I have black hardware on my front door. Have been searching for a larger plate doorbell and this is perfect. This is an excellent extender , I have found it very useful so much in fact that my neibhour heard heard me talking about it and he was so impressed he is now going to order one also.

This was exactly what i needed. The door to my office is around the corner from my desk. Since i couldn't see when people entered, They scared the crap of me all the time. This doorbell was easy to setup and install. No wires, just add a 9 volt and put two screws in. Took less than 5 minutes. Now i know when someone comes in right away. I did turn the volume down on it, just enough so i can hear it but it doesn't get annoying.

This receiver is identical to the one which comes in the LRA D1000 set which we purchased recently. We bought a second receiver in order to be sure we had coverage throughout our large house. We had 3 receivers with our previous wireless doorbell, but the volume control with 90 dB capability on these receivers made a 3rd receiver unnecessary. This receiver was very easy to sync with the doorbell included in our LRA D1000 set, and everything works beautifully. We couldn't be more pleased.

One of the receivers for our previous wireless doorbell failed recently. We discovered that the manufacturer had stopped making that doorbell system. Meanwhile, our daughter and her family live in a different house on the same 8-1/2 acre property, but we use the same driveway and entry gate. When we bought our previous wireless doorbell quite a few years ago, the longest range unit we could find would not reach from our entry gate to my daughter's place. Hence, she had been living without a doorbell for many years. We were delighted to find this wireless doorbell with a nominal 1000-foot range. We bought one to replace our doorbell and a second one for our daughter's place. Originally, we had been concerned about potential interference between the two doorbell buttons (transmitters) mounted side-by-side at our entry gate. However, the helpful folks at 1800Doorbell assured us that would not be a problem... and they proved correct. These doorbells were easy to set up (i.e., to sync each transmitter button with its respective receivers), and are working well in both houses. The selection of 18 different ring tones and the volume controls on the receivers also are nice touches. The volume control ranges from silent to a LOUD 90 dB, giving the user plenty of flexibility. Although we decided NOT to add other accessories (such as a driveway alarm or door/window alarms) at this time, we were impressed by the versatility and expandability of these systems. I also would like to commend the people at 1800Doorbell.com. Before placing our order, I telephoned them to ask a number of questions... and found them to be very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. Both my wife and I, and our daughter and her family, are totally satisfied and very pleased with our new doorbells.

Great product. Have owned for 9 years and never had a problem. Original transmitter is mounted about 1100 feet away and goes off at least 95% of the time. Just ordered and installed second transmitter closer to the house just to pick up when the other one does miss.

We are using this at our church for security reasons. We bought 3 receivers and 1 button so to be placed in various locations in our facility. With almost no effort we had the button programmed to the three receivers and it is working perfectly. We are pleased.

Works exactly as expected. I use it to monior the door in the waiting room of a medical office for when the secretary is out. The sensor aims at the upper part of the door and therefore only chimes when the door is opened. Does not repeatedly chime if someone walks hear the door. Easy to hook up.

Excellent product. We moved into a new home and the doorbell was very difficult to hear other than in the front room where the bell was located. We ordered your product and were amazed at the difference. It was very easy to install...took 15 minutes! We put the receiver in a staircase and now we can hear it throughout the entire house, even on the medium setting. We highly recommend this product and the speedy service and delivery.

I bought the brass pineapple doorbell. It is well made and we installed it immediately! It is lovely and makes a welcomed addition to our entry. The only criticism I have is that the screws are soft and flat tip screws so we scratched the brass surface trying to get them in tight. Other than that, it's perfect!

We are in an office and needed a chime to alert us if the receptionist was not at her desk. We had maintenance use double sided tape and they fixed it to a ceiling panel close to the door, The chime receiver plugs in to any wall socket, we wanted something very simple and that is what we got. Very good customer service.

"Set it to Ding-Dong"... words I never thought I would hear my husband say to me! LOL! This extender is great - easy to install and does exactly what it is supposed to do. The original doorbell rang in the guest bedroom end of the house, and wasn't audible in the kitchen or living areas. Added the extender, and problem resolved. We are Adding two at Mom's for Christmas!

We were looking for a "special needs" button. We have a wrought iron fenced court yard, which stops people well before they get to the door of the house at a dead bolted gate. Though a standard push button was located on the wall of the house, by the gate...many visitors claimed they did not see the button. I called the help line and asked for the "largest-lit button." The rep suggested this one which turns out to be roughly the size of an interior light switch. The light is no larger than a standard push button, but it stands out about an inch or inch &1/2 from the wall. Both the size of about 3X5 and then the dimension of the actual button being situated on the rounded ball, makes the light stand out a lot more than a traditional lighted button. I wasn't crazy about the look of it in the picture. We picked the antique bronze, and were happily surprised that it was much better looking in real life. The 3 dimensional view is much better looking than I thought it would be. It was easy to install by following simple instructions. We are really pleased and also thankful for the help of the customer service rep, who directed us to this particular push button. We are very happy with its size and quality. It shows from a greater distance, and UPS used it just last night to alert us of a package delivery (they often don't ring the bell claiming they didn't see it)...apparently now they can see it!

With the help of customer service rep. we picked this to make our old door bell easier to hear on our back porch and in our bedroom. It came quickly and though easy to install, we once again had to rely on company rep. to help assure us how to do it. Once we were sure what we were doing this hooks up in just a minute or two. It greatly increase the sound where we need it. I was surprised to discover that it was set on "Westminster" chime, & though it had other choices, this was the sound that my parents' grandfather clock made when I was a child. That was a surprise bonus in the chime choices. Already we heard the chime when we were on out back porch and it alerted us to a UPS package that was dropped on our front porch. In this day of package thefts, it was an expensive item and it was after dark outside, so we feel it saved us from leaving a package out all night, which would have been ample time for someone to steal it. We're happy with the purchase, now we just need some visitors!

Very easy to set-up, Works like a charm. I needed an entry chime system that had one sensor but two chime modules and this system was the answer. I bought this kit and added a chime module and it works really well, my second chime module is located about 60 feet away from the sensor and is behind a wall in a back room and still chimes every time.

Works great . Both receivers are plenty loud . Range of the transmitter is fantastic . Longest run is about 200 ft through 2 brick block walls and lots of steel parts shelves. What we really like is the system is expandable. Just keep adding receivers. Parts people love it over the school bell it replaces.

The doorbell is well made and works as expected. I had to drill new holes as this doorbell was taller than my previous one. Really looks great. 1800 Doorbell delivered as promised.

Had this system for some time and it is reliable. The sound is quality, the range is very good. With adjustable volume and many sounds to select, plus a very reasonable price, I am a satisfied customer.

I agree with the other comments; it works very well and was simple to install. We wanted it for the patio. The outdoor unit is described as “outdoor rated” and “water resistant,” but I think we’ll just bring it outside with us when we sit on the patio (three or four times a week May-September). It would mount on a wall outside via screws if desired; there are slots in the rear. If I were to do that I’d probably also attach a short sheet of flexible rubber or plastic a couple of inches above it, overhanging the front to shed rain. And the unit could easily be popped off the mounting screws when rain is forecast, and during the off-season. Re the comments about loudness, there's a volume control on the back. Mine was set on High when it arrived; I eventually moved it to Low.

I have to tell you, all I wanted was a 2-door wired "ding dong" doorbell. And I wanted one with a real bell, not some electronic noise. That is pretty tough to find now. These guys had this one....not too expensive, not too fancy, just ding dong. Perfect. I received and installed it and it worked great. After about 5 months, however, it started to buzz a bit. I called the company, and they sent me another one, no questions asked. It works great and I bet it will continue to do that. The amazing thing is the company. Looks pretty good. Unfortunately, one of the brass doorbells that came with it didn't seem to work so we used one brass for the front and the white one for the back.

Very easy to install. Plenty loud. 6 different sounds. Portable. I have mine 75 feet from the main door bell. Works great.

Purchased the extender as we discovered that we could not hear the doorbell when we were on our balcony with the glass slider doors closed. Installation of the product was very easy, instructions were clear and the product functioned as described. Good volume and very clear sound. We are pleased with this purchase. The only issue during installation was that there was insufficient room within the doorbell housing to hide the transmitter unit. This of course is not the responsibility of the extender but it did require some creative modification of the housing. I suppose that with a different housing, room would not have been an issue.

I am a therapist who does not have a receptionist. So I purchased this wireless doorbell so that my clients can alert me when they arrive. I placed the receiver in mute mode to turn off the chimes so only the light flashes. It has simplified my life so I don't have to walk down the hall to the wait room until my clients arrive. I ordered my kit on Friday and received it Monday. My "receptionist" was working for me within minutes.

We are sorry you aren't happy with your purchase. This product works great in small to medium sized areas 1,000sqft to 2,0000 sqft max. As we stated in the description, it does have a "gentle tone" which is great in some situations, but not all. We would be more than happy to exchange this product with something that's louder..just let us know.

Along with 1800doorbell customer service, they steered me to this product which is a perfect match for her bakery front entrance door area. The product works as described, even with the addition of a second receiver, it was shipped on time and in perfect condition and was already programmed for the basic parameters so, it worked out of the box after, of course, installing batteries in the transmitter and plugging the receiver(s) into AC power. And by the way, the radio range is quite amble for a typical small business building. No failures where ever we set the receiver units. We needed a good wireless door bell for our sporting goods store. We shopped around until we came across this Long Range Entrance Alert Kit. We hooked it up and it has been working perfectly. This is exactly what we were looking for and are very happy with the kit.
