Did you know as people grow older they lose their high frequency hearing? In fact, studies show that 1 of 3 people over the age of 65 and 1 of 2 people over the age of 75 are unable to hear high frequency alarms. This is troubling when most standard fire alarms have high frequency alarms (usually around 3000 MHz).

The HC-SAFEAWAKE is a fire alarm aid by SafeAwake that will alert you to fire alarms with three methods. These include a flashing strobe light, low frequency intermittent temperal-3 (T3) alarm, and a intermittent bed shaker. It is stated that the combination of the intermittent bed shaking and low frequency T3 alarm is 48% more effective at waking people up than other products. The device features LED indicators lights which will inform you if the bed shaker is unplugged, the battery is running low, or the device is connected to the power supply. This device is powered by plugging into any wall outlet in your home. Three CR-123 lithium-ion batteries are provided in the package as backup batteries.
