Plug In Receiver With Flashing Strobe Alerts When Door Opens
Caring for a loved one with dementia is stressful because keeping them safe is your number one priority. One common issue faced by caregivers is how to know when your loved one leaves their bedroom to ensure they are not walking around outside or getting lost.
The Anti Wandering Alert Chime Kit by Safeguard Supply is a Great Solution
The kit includes a wireless door / window contact and a wireless plugin receiver. Simply mount the door contact to the door using the included double sided tape, plug in the receiver, and when the door is opened by your love one, the plugin receiver will play a chosen sound and/or flash a bright strobe light.
The Anti Wandering Alert Chime Kit is expandable by adding more receivers
The kit comes with one plugin receiver, however, the door contact is compatible with all LRA products to include the larger LRA-DCRX flashing receiver and the portable, vibrating pager, the LRA-VPRX. This also means you can add more plugin strobe receivers (LRA-DCRXS) throughout your home, and/or add other types of receivers as well.
Add Motion Sensors and Other Magnetic Door Contacts
Each LRA-DCRXS (the receiver featured in this kit) is capable of working with a total of two different transmitters (door contact, motion sensor, push button). So, for example, you can put a door contact on the bedroom door as well as the front door of the house, for example.
Wireless Door Chime Receiver with Strobe Features:
- Up to 1,000 ft. range from transmitter to receiver.
- May use in conjunction with multiple LRA-DCRXS Strobe Receivers and also with any compatible LRA receivers such as the LRA-DCRX and the LRA-VPRX.
- Work with up to two (2) different transmitters.
- 18 melodies to choose from (one melody chosen for each transmitter paired with system).
- Solid red LED on chime receiver will notify you when paired transmitters have low battery status.
- Depending on the melody chosen, the receiver sounds at a decibel rating from 80 dBa to 95 dBa. Extremely Loud!
- Three operation modes; 1) strobe only, 2) sound only, and 3) strobe and sound.
- Chime is Indoor rated only.

Compact. Plenty of cord length to move receiver away from outlet so that you have room for other plug in devices. Quick delivery.
Has a very broad detection area, so we narrowed it with tape. Works perfectly.
Mine stopped working after a year or two. Called the company and they sent me a new one immediately with no charge. Can't beat that. Only complaint is it's impossible to get back into the little transmitter box once you close the cover.
The bell was easy to install and works well, but without a way to narrow the scope of motion capture, it rings when we would prefer it not...when people are walking in the shop near the entrance. We tried lowering the sensor, but if we get it too low, it will be within reach of the public. it's nice to be notified and the volume control and chime options are nice.
Robust & reliable. Adjustable volume is great. But I'd really like a way to adjust the strobe brightness. It's hard to see the zone indicator when the strobe is flashing. Fortunately, a piece of white tape across the front of the strobe solves this problem. Now it mostly lights up the ceiling, which is just what I want.
