The SS155 is best used when a normal chime is too easy to miss. That can mean hearing-impaired use, a noisy room, a back office, a work area with machinery, or simply a part of the house where sound does not carry well. Instead of adding more volume, this receiver adds a clear visual flash alert when a compatible SS Series transmitter is triggered.
Because it plugs into a standard outlet, the SS155 is easy to place in the room where it will do the most good. It works with SS Series transmitters, including compatible push buttons and door contacts, and in open conditions the system is rated for up to 600 feet of range. As with other wireless products, real range depends on walls, layout, and distance between devices.
