Not in a literal sense. Wireless buttons send a radio signal to a compatible receiver, while wired ones close an electrical loop that causes the chime to ring. These are fundamentally different technologies.

The Exception: Doorbell Extenders

You can use a doorbell extender kit that includes a small transmitter wiring into the doorbell transformer. When a visitor pushes the button outside:

1. A radio signal is generated from the installed transmitter
2. The signal is sent to a compatible wireless receiver
3. Your existing wired system continues to function normally
4. You gain the added benefit of a wireless system
