Lovely doorbell!

Lovely doorbell! Installation was a little trickier than expected, since my prior doorbell was surface mounted, and this one required a 5/8" hole to fit the guts into.

Instillation Issues

The original doorbell laid flat on the wall, just a couple of screws to hold it onto the wall. The new doorbell, which looks great installed, had to have a large hole in the center of the wall to accommodate the wire attachment barrel. I used a flat head screwdriver to ream out a hole large enough to allow for the doorbell switch to be installed. Kinda a pain in the **** to do. Looks great installed.

Repeat purchase. Would buy again.

Originally purchased 10 years ago at a local big box store. Not sure if it was LED back then. Door bell failed after 10 years and I purchased it again from 1800doorbell.com recently. They are now listed as LED. I like they are wider than the cheap door bells you find in the stores as the installers who did my steel siding made the door bell hole larger than I would have liked. I used clear silicone along the edges to seal. I see from the picture that I have it upside down but I like the sun at the top. Glad I found it here to match what I had.
