Use a Warehouse Door Alarm to Know When A Visitor Arrives
Are you tired of constantly checking the warehouse entrance to see if anyone is there? Do you miss deliveries? Do you want to keep your warehouse doors locked but are afraid you will miss important visitors? Do you wish there was a more efficient way to be alerted when someone arrives? Look no further than the WDK-ERA-STROBE warehouse door alarm by Safeguard Supply !
The WDK-ERA-STROBE warehouse door alarm is the perfect solution for warehouse operators who need to control access to a door (someone is at the door). This device uses a combination of door sensor that may be used as a magnetic door alert or a push button, receiver, and strobe light. When the sensor is triggered, a radio signal is sent to the receiver, which plays a chime sound and the attached LED Strobe Light flashes. The kit ships with the ERA-UTX transmitter/sensor, the ERA-DCRX receiver, a strobe (choose the color), and a bundle of 20-gauge bell wires to connect the strobe to the receiver.
How the WDK-ERA-STROBE Works
The WDK-ERA-STROBE has a transmitter that will work as a push button or a magnetic door contact. When a guest pushes the button or the door opens (depending on how you set it up), it sends a wireless signal up to 4,000 ft. away to the receiver. When triggered, the receiver will play the selected melody, and the add-on strobe light will start flashing its lights to alert you. The receiver may sit flat on a desk or mounted on the wall. Its high-quality strobe light is bright enough to be seen in bright daylight. This means that no matter what time of day, you can see when someone is at the door. If you need to be alerted for open doors or hallways, we would recommend a similar kit, the ERA-PRDCR-STROBE that uses a PIR motion sensor that triggers when motion is detected.
The ERA-DCRX Receiver
The WDK-ERA-STROBE receiver, the ERA-DCRX , features a built-in speaker with approximately 100 dBA at the highest sound level. The sound level may be adjusted to four levels, with a fourth press of the volume control button muting the unit.
The receiver is powered by an included plugin adaptor with a 5-foot cord. Each ERA-DCRX features 4 x 12V DC outputs, and when the receiver is triggered, it outputs 12V of DC power to the zone. The strobe light wires into one of the four zones on the receiver, and when a programmed transmitter to a zone is triggered, the connected strobe light will flash for the set duration (5 seconds, 10 seconds, 1 minute, 2 minutes).
Up to 12 sensors/transmitters may be programmed to each receiver, and there is no limit to the number of receivers that can be programmed to a sensor/transmitter. Placing additional strobes throughout your facility can ensure users can hear the receiver when triggered. A transmitter’s line of sight range to the receiver is up to 4,000 ft. This extra wireless range is needed, especially in commercial locations with more concrete, rebar, and other environmental factors that may interfere with a wireless signal.
The ERA-UTX Transmitter
The ERA-UTX may be used as a standard wireless doorbell push button or a magnetic contact (triggers when the door is opened). You can attach it on the outside near the door to use as a push button, or use it as a magnetic door contact to trigger when the door is opened. You can even mount it on a garage door to alert you when the garage door is accessed.
Using it as a contact or push button will help with false alarms that can be triggered by PIR sensors.
It is powered by an included, long-lasting lithium battery, and the transmitter may be located up to 4,000 ft. (line of sight) from the receiver. The ERA-UTX features an LED that flashes when the button successfully transmits to the receiver. It is mounted using double-sided tape or the included mounting bracket and screws.
The sensor is rugged and enclosed in heavy-duty ABS plastic that protects it from water and extreme temperatures. Silicon grommets prevent moisture from damaging the unit and a small RED illuminates when the sensor is transmitting a signal to the alarm receiver.
12V DC Flashing Strobe Light
This kit also includes a 12V DC strobe light (you choose the color). This strobe light is wired into the zone output (the same one the push button will be programmed to), and when triggered, will flash for a specified duration.
