Old meets new. When a car or truck rolls over the rubber hose (old school), the transmitter sends a radio signal to the DCR-4000 & RE-4K PLUS receivers, and a chime sound is played at the remote location (new school). The rubber hose stretches across a driveway, and the pressure of a heavy car or truck causes the transmitter to send the signal. You can plug the receiver into a standard wall outlet up to 5,000 away from the transmitter, and it will play a chime sound.
The blending of old and new technology can be seen in the way a vehicle detection system works. This system involves the use of a rubber hose, a transmitter, and a receiver – the DCR-4000 & RE-4K PLUS. This technique merges traditional practices with advanced technologies to offer an efficient and reliable solution.
The rubber hose, which epitomizes the conventional or old-school method, is positioned across a driveway. When a vehicle, such as a car or truck, rolls over the hose, the pressure exerted by the heavy vehicle triggers the transmitter. This is an example of a simple yet effective manual mechanism that has been in use for many years.
The transmitter, which is a part of the modern or new school technology, then sends a radio signal to the receivers, the DCR-4000 & RE-4K PLUS. These receivers are designed to pick up the signal from the transmitter, no matter where they are placed, as long as they are within a range of 5,000 feet. This is a clear demonstration of how recent advancements in technology have significantly increased the scope and efficiency of such systems.
Once the receivers get the signal from the transmitter, they play a chime sound at the remote location. This sound serves as an alert to notify individuals at the remote location that a vehicle has arrived or left the driveway. The receiver can be conveniently plugged into a standard wall outlet, making it easy to install and use. This also means it can be placed in various locations, depending on where the sound alert is required.
Therefore, this system is a perfect example of how old meets new, showcasing the best of both worlds. It combines the simplicity and effectiveness of traditional methods with the advancement and convenience of modern technology to provide a reliable and efficient solution for vehicle detection.
