This is the magnetometer-based probe sensor featured in the MURS-based Dakota Alert kit. When a metallic object passes through the zone, this probe will create a magnetic zone that sends a radio signal to the compatible M538-HT or M538-BS receiver.
The probe may be buried parallel to, or under, a driveway up to 2-3 miles from the receiver.

Good morning. The DCPA-4000 is a wireless system that would detect cars only. The transmitter is a magnetometer probe that you bury in the ground parallel to your driveway or even under the driveway (if driveway is dirt or gravel). The probe has 50â² of wire connected to a transmitter box that is powered by 4 x CR123a lithium batteries. When a large metallic object passes through the magnetic zone (10â²-12â²) emitted by the probe, it triggers the transmitter to send a signal to the compatible receiver.
