MURS-MAP-DRIVEWAY-ALERTS
The MAPS-BS-KIT is a vehicle-only driveway alarm built for properties where ordinary motion sensors fall short. A buried magnetic probe detects cars and trucks, while the included desktop receiver brings the alert indoors without reacting to people, pets, or wind-blown movement.

MURS-PIR-DRIVEWAY-ALERTS
Look no further if you need a super long-range (up to several miles depending on the environment) wireless driveway alarm system. The MURS BS Kit is a winner, a best-of-class driveway alarm packed with features that have the power to go the distance. MAT
The MAT Dakota Alert, ***Driveway Motion Sensor*** is a high-performance security device designed to detect movement within a monitored zone (your driveway) and send a signal up to several miles to a compatible receiver. Key features include its advanced infrared motion detection technology, which can accurately detect vehicles, people, and large animals, ensuring comprehensive security coverage. The sensor also has a wireless transmission system that can send alerts to a receiver several miles away, making it ideal for large properties. The MAT transmitter/sensor has an exceptional range, which surpasses many other models on the market, providing superior security for your property. This transmitter is compatible with the **M538-BS** and **M538-HT** Transceivers. NOTE: ***\*Due to government regulations, we cannot ship MURS series products outside the United States.***

Buying notes
Is this the right fit?
- Good fit when
- Use this when you need an additional compatible sensor at a door, gate, counter, driveway, or other alert point.
- Look at another option when
- Choose a kit instead if you do not already have a compatible receiver. This transmitter sends the signal; it does not make the chime sound by itself.
- Range reality
- Check the listed compatibility and placement notes before ordering. Building layout often matters as much as the product rating.
- Setup note
- Mount the sensor where it can detect the event and where its signal can reach the receiver. Pair it to the receiver, then set the tone or zone on the receiver side.
This page should rank for a driveway probe sensor or vehicle-only driveway alarm sensor. A probe sensor works differently from a PIR or beam sensor because it is designed to detect moving metal, which makes it useful when you want to focus on vehicles instead of general motion.
That makes the MAPS a stronger fit for long drives, gates, private roads, and rural entries where false trips from people or animals are a concern. Before ordering, confirm the compatible MURS system, plan the burial point, and make sure a vehicle-only detection approach matches the job.

Vehicle Detection for Long Driveways and Rural Entrances
The MAPS Dakota Alert probe sensor is useful when you want vehicle-focused detection instead of general motion detection. Because it is part of the MURS driveway alert family, it is often considered for farms, gated drives, private roads, service entrances, and larger properties where range and selective detection matter.
Planning the Sensor Location
Confirm MURS compatibility and burial placement. Probe sensors are typically chosen to reduce alerts from people, wind, and small moving objects because they detect moving metal. That makes this a strong vehicle driveway alarm sensor option when the goal is to know when cars or trucks enter.

Questions & Answers
Answers from our team for MAPS Dakota Alert Driveway Alert Probe -Several Mile Range.
How does it work! Do you drive over the wire?
Mr.Pollock, Good morning. The DCPA-4000 is a wireless system that would detect cars only. The transmitter is a magnetometer probe that you bury in the ground parallel to your driveway or even under the driveway (if driveway is dirt or gravel). The probe has 50â² of wire connected to a transmitter box that is powered by 4 x CR123a lithium batteries. When a large metallic object passes through the magnetic zone (10â²-12â²) emitted by the probe, it triggers the transmitter to send a signal to the compatible receiver. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thank you, Customer Support Team 1800Doorbell
