Buying notes
Is this the right fit?
- Good fit when
- Use this when you need a complete setup with the button or transmitter and receiver included, instead of trying to match separate parts.
- Look at another option when
- Look at a separate transmitter or receiver when you are only replacing one part of a system that already works.
- Range reality
- 150 ft is the published open-air range. Real-world range is lower when the signal crosses walls, metal, masonry, vehicles, shelving, or dense trees.
- Setup note
- Place the button or transmitter where the event happens, then place the receiver where the alert needs to be heard or seen. Test the signal before final mounting.

Very nice and simple doorbell kit
I bought this wireless doorbell kit to replace my outdated one. It was very easy to install both the chimes and the button. I opted to use screws instead of the sticky tape. The button used the same screw holes as my old button. For the chimes, I used a piece of paper for a guide on where to put the screws and used 2 drywall anchors. Its super easy to change the tunes by pressing a small button above the bell button. It has no problem getting the signal from the bell to the chimes (2 rooms away).

Even better than the door bell and receiver is the service from 1-800Doorbell. Customer service was absolutely fabulous when I had issues with my prior purchase. One thing to note is that there is a volume switch on the back of the chime unit. This is not well documented in the instructions.

This was well worth the money!! I also bought an extra chime. So I put one chime in my bedroom which is in the back of the house and one chime that is in the den (also in the back of the house. With my original door bell I could never hear it ring, so I thought I would try this one. It works perfectly!!

Our button doesn't work. Can we buy a replacement? Menards doesn't carry your brand anymore. Ours plays 13 songs and we like them. We didn't like the new models we found there and at Lowes. 2005 LAMSON&SESSIONS 0503. sR3520/RC 8520.

Why Published Range Differs from Real-World Range When shopping for wireless doorbells, entrance alerts, driveway alarms, and other long-range wireless products, you’ll notice every product lists a maximum wireless range—typically stated as “up to X,000 feet.” For example, the Dakota Alert DCPA-4K-PLUS Driveway Alarm lists a range of “up to 5,000 feet.” It’s important to…
