How Many Melodies Does an SS Series Receiver Play?
SS Series receivers play 58 melodies, with four volume levels up to 90 dB plus mute. Each paired transmitter can have its own melody.
Every SS Series receiver plays 58 melodies and has four volume levels up to 90 dB, plus mute. This applies to the SS135 plug-in receiver and the SS155 strobe receiver.
Can each door have its own sound?
Yes. You choose a melody for each transmitter you pair, so the front door button, a back door button and a door contact can each play a different melody. That way you know which door it is without getting up.
How do I change the melody or volume?
- Use the forward and back buttons on the receiver to choose a melody.
- Press the volume button to step through the four volume levels and mute.
- The receiver remembers your settings. See Programming the SS Series of Products for pairing steps.
What happens on mute?
The SS135 makes no sound on mute, but its blue LED still flashes for about 10 seconds each time it is triggered. The SS155 still flashes its strobe 15 times on mute, and its flash color follows the melody you chose.
