Hello, no, this does not have volume control. It is listed as a loud doorbell, but it is certainly not overpowering. A plunger inside the unit strikes a metal plate to generate the "ding-dong" sound.
Door bell chime came out during shipping. I was able to reinstall so not a big deal but should be shipped with more care to prevent damage. Door bell was easy to install and worked great!
