Reliable Vehicle Detection with Magnetometer Probe

The DCPT-4000 utilizes a magnetometer probe that creates a magnetic field. When a large metallic object, such as a car or truck, passes through this field, the sensor triggers and sends a wireless signal to a compatible Dakota Alert receiver (sold separately).

This is the Magnetometer probe-based driveway sensor used in the DCPA-4000 kit by Dakota Alert.  A magnetometer probe driveway sensor will trigger when metallic objects pass through the magnetic zone created by the probe. Bury the white probe parallel or under your driveway. When a heavy metallic object (like a car) drives over or near the sensor (approximately 10-12′ away), it triggers and sends a radio signal to the compatible Dakota Alert receiver, such as the DCR-4000 or the RE-4K PLUS.

NOTE: This is the sensor/transmitter only. Must use compatible Dakota Alert 4000 receiver.

The probe has 50′ of direct burial wire, allowing you to bury the probe parallel to your driveway or under the driveway, and connects to a ruggedized black transmitter box. This box will send the radio signal to a compatible Dakota Alert receiver, such as the DCR-4000 or the RE-4K-PLUS, and when the signal is received, the receiver will play the selected ringtone. Since the black box has 50′ of burial cable connecting it to the probe, you can hide the black box in a stealth location. The transmitter is weatherproof and can work in temperatures of -30F to 120F.

Won’t Generate False Driveway Alarms

The DCPT-4000 probe/transmitter works excellently in areas where you only want to pick up vehicle traffic. People, deer, raccoons, and other animals will not trigger the probe. In addition, since the probe will be buried underground, it is hidden from onlookers.
