At first glance, this may look like an ordinary wired door chime. But what sets this Craftmade (Teiber) wired doorbell apart from its peers is the quality of the sound generated. Just like most of its counterparts, it is a two-note doorbell, playing a two-note sound for the front door and a one-note sound for the second door.
The difference is the great sound produced by this product. Most wired chimes have an internal plunger that strikes a small plate inside the wired door chime cabinet to produce the sound. This product’s chime sound travels through the two tubes, which then produces a richer sound than you might hear on other products.

Each chime features two pewter or slightly antique pewter tubes located on each side of the chime, with a solid plastic front plate available in the three finishes below:

The CTPW chime by Craftmade are more decorative and produce a slightly richer sound than many other wired doorbells. If you have a wired doorbell button and a chime transformer in your home, setup is easy. Simply replace your current wired doorbell with this one, and connect it to the chime transformer and wired push button to have your new chime up and running. If this is a new door chime installation, please ensure you have a 16 volt transformer and a push button to complete the system.

This chime has a very pleasant sound and works great with the installed video camera.
Installed my 1800 doorbell yesterday, well my electrician did.

My first order did not arrive after a reasonable time, a new doorbell was shipped out and received. The original order arrived shortly there after and it was retuned at no cost.

We thought the products were great. We made one HUGE MISTAKE! install it turned out to be a BUMMER. After he burned out the transformer & doorbell we hired an electrician & had to buy a new transformer and door bell but we got the push button you sent us & we love it!

The shipping was fast. Received it within a few days. The Chime was as described. It’s louder than our original but that’s fine. Just a plain ding dong. Sound resonates well due to the tubes located on the sides. It just took about 10 minutes to install which was nice.

We ordered and installed the “CTPW Great Sounding White Wired Chime with Pewter Tubes” and it does indeed sound great! It is fun to receive visitors with a better sounding doorbell than the old standard doorbell that came with our house! We also bought and installed a new “DH1201 Doorbell Light Bulb Center Push Button Replacement Part” because the old one was completely worn out and working only intermittently. The push button fit inside the old brass plate. I had to squeeze the springs that hold it in place, with pliers, in order to get it to go into the plate, but it fit in perfectly when the springs/tangs were squeezed together! What a great addition to our house! We are very pleased with the purchase!
I ordered a replacement doorbell chime (satisfied with the tone after preview on the website—great feature). It arrived quickly and was exactly as advertised. Upon determining that the chime was not the problem, however, I called to return the item and order a replacement that will better meet the need. I reached a live person immediately, who handled the return and reorder efficiently. Highly recommend.
