Any mechanical chime that plays a standard "ding-dong" sound should work. The important thing is that your doorbell transformer is 16V 30VA. A standard 15VA transformer will not power the camera and doorbell chime at the same time.

In this day of wireless doorbells and big box stores, it is so hard to replace a wired doorbell. With a very strong recommendation from our electrician and exceptional customer service from Marilee C, at 1800 Doorbell! we were able to replace a broken UGLY doorbell chime with a sleak new white doorbell. THANK YOU 1800Doorbell and Marilee (and our electrician Sal)!
PS – we did find that hanging it vertically seemed to have a softer tone than horizontally so our electrican switched to horizontally and we can now hear it even if we are in our basement.
Single tone quiet doorbell if you have a quiet environment that would be fine but this doorbell is not loud enough for a noisy house or even one with a TV or radio on
