One of the doorbell didn’t light up when wired in. Found that the printed circuit board had a clear coating on solder connection, probably a resin used inside solder. Cleaned off, everything ok.

Does this button work with a wired electronic door bell ? I had to add a diode to my current button in order for the door bell to complete its complete cycle. James Minor asked on 10/13/2022

Does this button have a diode? My old surface mount button had cheap plastic that broke after a year. I understand the diode was there to make the chimes work properly. Larry Downer asked on 03/11/2019

Good morning. No, this wired push button DOES not have a diode as it does not need one. Most newer model of wired doorbell push buttons do not have, nor need a diode.
