Are you tired of climbing a ladder to pull your ceiling fan chain? Are you looking to replace a ceiling fan remote like the Dimango RC1000 or other manufacturer’s brand. If so, the UC-2000 by Craftmade is a great choice. By installing this kit you no longer have to pull that ceiling fan chain anymore. With a click of this remote control you can set your fan to low, medium, and high, and also dim the light.
Over the years we have received calls and emails from customer looking to replace their current ceiling fan remote. In years past the choice was the RC1000 which was a ceiling fan remote created by Carlon/Dimango. After Carlon/Dimango discontinued production of their fan remote, we had trouble finding an adequate replacement–until now.
The UC-2000 is an easy to install and easier to use universal ceiling fan remote control kit. This kit ships with a receiver that you install in the fan itself, and a remote control with a mounting bracket.
You install the remote receiver into the ceiling fan’s canopy housing. The receiver is light-weight and measures 4.5” long by 2” wide and 1” tall.
- Kit ships with three components: 1 x receiver (installs in ceiling fan canopy), 1 x remote control, 1 x mounting wall holster for remote
- Remote control is powered by a 9-V alkaline battery (included)
- Receiver measures 4.5” x 2” x 1”
- Three speed fan control
- Light dimmer
- One year manufacturer’s warranty
* we recommend you check your current ceiling fan canopy to make sure this receiver will fit
** to replace the Dimango RC1000, make sure you replace the receiver inside the current fan or this remote control transmitter will not work
|Dimensions||3 x 2.5 x 5 in|
For many years, one of our best selling products was the Dimango Ceiling Fan Remote control device. Simply, this product enabled homeowners the ability to add remote control functionality to their current ceiling fan. In some cases this product also served as a replacement if their current remote control fan stopped working.
When I say we have searched all over the world for a replacement, I mean it. As we always do, our search started domestically. We try, when we can, to purchase products that are manufactured in American factories. We then looked overseas for products that could serve as an alternative for our customers who are searching for the Carlon remote (Dimango). For many years these products by Thomas and Betts were sold at Home Depot and/or Lowe's and after they stopped selling the products, we started getting even more calls.
At the end of the day, we just did not feel confident with similar type products we found overseas. We then started looking into the process of having a like product made for us. Just as we completed the rough sketch of the product one of our suppliers, Craftmade informed us about their universal remote control for fans.
A Replacement Was Found for the Dimango Ceiling Fan Remote Control

If you currently have a Dimango, Carlon, Lamson and Sessions, or Thomas and Betts brand device, please call or email us with any questions and we would be happy to help.
