A wired doorbell that will play 30 different tunes! The DH853E is something special. It gets us excited about doorbells again, because it is rare to find a wired doorbell that plays something other than "ding-dong."

PLEASE NOTE:  The manufacturer states this product IS NOT compatible with the Ring.com video doorbell product.  The Ring.com system will break this product.

Like all of the wired doorbells products by Carlon, this wired chime produces excellent quality sound and is well built. With a one year manufacturer's warranty, this product will be sure to last many years to come.  Another unique aspect of this wired chime is its ability to work with transformers or batteries.  This gives a little added flexibility for folks who have a transformer that's burned out and already have the bell wire installed between the push button, the transformer, and the doorbell. Rather than having to replace the transformer, you can use the doorbell with 4 x AA batteries.

This is a nice sounding door bell with a variety of tunes.

This is a nice sounding door bell with a variety of tunes. Wiring instructions we're so so, relying on picture diagrams. I had to look at it multiple times to understand it and made a couple errors. Rewire a few times was simple, and these went quickly. When I got it working it sounded terrible, distorted like an amp cranked up to 11. Then I realized there was a volume know and turned it down to the lowest level. The chime became pleasant but still adequately loud. I wish "La Cucaracha" was one of the included tunes but not a big deal. My dog no longer barks at the doorbell!

I ordered this product to replace one I'd had previously in another home.

I ordered this product to replace one I'd had previously in another home. I wanted a reliable bell, loud enough to hear all over my 2-storey condo, and pleasant enough to make me smile. This one has nearly 30 different tunes and I have it cycle through all of them, playing a different one each time the bell is rung. I never know what will play next, so I'm always smiling when I answer the door. My only complaint is that I wish the tpne were just a little better. This product makes answering the door always fun!

We were looking for a battery powered wired doorbell to replace the factory installed anemic one in our travel trailer. We installed it today with no problems and are very pleased with the sound and all 29 tunes. The tunes are great and will for sure be a topic of conversation with our camping and RV friends!

Musical chime works great.

Musical chime works great. I use it to signal cars coming up the driveway. Problem is that I get false alarms from the microwave sensor. Long story, but the musical chime works great. Driveway is gravel, so can't us the rubber hose sensor. AJ
