Doorbell Battery ReplacementAll of the wireless doorbells on 1800doorbell.com use a wireless doorbell push button that acts as a transmitter.  When the user presses the doorbell button, it sends a wirelss signal to a receiver.  Because the button is not wired to a transformer (required for most wired doorbells) batteries are required in order for the button to generate current to send the signal.

In almost all cases, wireless doorbell buttons are shipped with batteries.  This is because, in most cases, these are not standard types of batteries you can pick up at your local store.  To maintain the small size of the push button, these batteries have to be smaller than standard AA, AAA, or 9V batteries.

Under normal usage, most batteries installed inside these transmitters should last from 18-24 months, depending on usage and weather conditions.  Higher than average usage and cold weather will dimish battery life faster than limited usage and warm weather.

On this page are most of the batteries shipped with the wireless buttons on this site.  The instruction manual should tell you what battery you need.  You may usually find the battery requirements inside the doorbell button itself where you would install the battery.  We have found the best thing to do is to remove the battery and take it to your local drug store or look online for a replacement.  If you need to replace a battery, please do not hesitate to call or email us and we would be happy to help you find the battery you need.  The i
