Panic Transmitter PT2500 Kit

Provides Immediate, Effective Yet Discrete Alert Of Unauthorized Entry, Questionable Persons, Activity or Suspicious Packages.

Don't let your premises or events be subject to the activity of unwelcomed guests, questionable activity or unidentifiable packages. Events can and often unfold in the blink of an eye. Alert and protect others of suspicious activity so appropriate measures may be taken. Our PT2500 is a comprehensive, expandable & versatile panic transmitter kit consisting of one weatherproof battery operated (included CR2 3V battery) push button style transmitter with one door/window contact (UT-2500), and one receiver with plug in power adapter (DCR-2500).

How To Use The PT2500 Panic Alarm Kit To Suit Your Unique Application:

The PT-2500 panic transmitter kit was designed to offer an industry first weatherproof, extra long range panic device catered towards schools, colleges, hospitals, care facilities, dorms, offices, public buildings, events and other sensitive areas so others may be immediately yet discretely alerted of unwelcomed entry, suspicious persons, activity or packages.

This system can be used just as simply or complex as your application warrants. If all you need is a simple, easy to operate panic alarm system with long range and a weatherproof transmitter, then this easy to install and operate unit will most certainly suit your needs without further modifications.

Our comprehensive kit includes one battery operated push button style transmitter with bonus window/door contact (UT-2500), and one plug in receiver with power adapter (DCR-2500).

If you need a system with the added benefit of door/window contacts to help catch intruders that may escape the eyes or scrutiny of those providing surveillance, this system will prove extremely beneficial as it is easily expandable to encompass other devices. You may put contacts at virtually every window or door which needs to be secured. This is an extremely valuable and effective option as most fire codes require windows and doors to remain unlocked. If the power goes off, then your conventional wired window and door alarm contacts are useless and provide a false sense of security. The transmitter has terminals for N/O or N/C contacts. These inputs can be used with any detector contacts.

For more complex needs the system may be configured to incorporate any combination of a wireless solar powered, point to point break beam sensors (sold separately), wireless PIR motion sensors (sold separately), wireless vehicle detectors (sold separately), and a wireless rubber house vehicle signal kit (sold separately). You can configure the system to use as many different "add-ons" as needed as long are they are within range of the receivers. The half mile range is dependant upon environmental conditions which may vary from application to application. It is strongly recommend that you field test each and every sensor/transmitter in your configuration. Keep in mind that you may use as many sensor/transmitters as necessary, but only four unique tones may be set to the transmitters.

This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC rules, Operation of this device is subject to the following conditions: 1. This device may not cause harmful interference. 2. This device must accept any interference, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

The UT-2500 transmitter is compatible with the DCR-2500 receiver. The UT-2500 has several methods of activation. First, it has a push button that can be used as a panic button or doorbell. The UT-2500 also has terminals for a normally open (N/O) or normally closed (N/C) input. These inputs can be used with any detector contacts. There is also a magnetic contact that can be used for doors or windows. When the transmitter is activated, it will send a signal to the receiver which will sound one of four different tones (Classical, Westminster Chime, Ding Dong, or Whistle) for a few seconds, or activate the relay outputs. The UT-2500 can be activated by any type of detector which provides a normally open (N/O) or normally closed (N/C) output.

The magnetic contact can be used on most doors/windows with a gap of less than ½ inch.  The magnetic contact can be used on either side of the push button.

The transmitter can be mounted to any wall using the mounting
bracket. The mounting bracket is located on the back of the UT-2500 and
can be removed by simply sliding it off. Position the bracket were
you would like it and place two screws in the holes provided. To
place the UT-2500 back simply slide it over the bracket. If mounting the UT-2500 outdoors you MUST place the silicone plugs in the screw holes at the back of the case to prevent moisture from entering the case.

To code the unit, open the receiver case by inserting a small screwdriver into one of the pry notches on the side of the case (refer to receiver manual) and gently lift off the front cover.

This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC rules, operation of this device is subject to the following conditions: 1. This device may not cause harmful interference. 2. This device must accept any interference, including interference that may cause undesired operation. The DCR-2500 receiver can be used with any of the Dakota Alert 2500 series transmitters. The DCR-2500 plugs in to a standard wall outlet and can be placed on a table or mounted on the wall. When the receiver gets a signal from the transmitter one of 4 different tones (Classical, Westminster Chime, Ding Dong, Whistle) will sound for a few seconds. There is also a volume control so you can set the sound to the desired level. The receiver is also equipped with 4 form “C” relays (one for each zone) and one 12 VDC output terminal that can activate when a signal is received. The receiver can be user programmed so the 12VDC terminal and relays will activate for 1 second, 10 seconds, 60 seconds or 10 minutes. The tones will sound for several seconds.

For maximum range between the transmitter and receiver, the receiver should be mounted horizontally on a wall and as high off the floor as possible. Although the maximum range is about ½ mile, things such as hills, trees, metal siding and stucco can all reduce the range.

To code the receiver: 1. Open the receiver case by inserting a small screw driver into one of the pry notches on the side of the case. 2. Gently lift off the front cover.

Each of the four transmitter zones (selectable by switch 9 & 10) will sound a tone and activate the corresponding relay on the receiver. The form “C” relays are rated for 24 VDC at 3 Amp maximum current. The 12 VDC output has a maximum current capacity of 400mA.  The relays and voltage can be set to activate for 1 second, 10 seconds, 60 seconds or 10 minutes.

The receiver has a red led light for each of the four zones. The lights can be set to blink for every activation up to ten and then repeat or turn on once for ten seconds when a signal is received. The receiver has a reminder beep that can be set to “beep” every 15 minutes after a signal is received.

The receiver can be programmed to have a 5 minute exit delay where it will not receive a signal from selected transmitters.

Frequency: 433.92 MHz
Operating voltage: 12VDC
12 volt DC output current: 400 mA maximum
Relay rating: 24VDC at 3 Amp

This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC rules, operation of this device is subject to the following conditions: 1. This device may not cause harmful interference. 2. This device must accept any interference, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

The DCMT-2500 transmitter uses a passive infrared (PIR) detector to detect people, vehicles or large animals at the monitored location. When the transmitter detects an object, it will send a signal to the receiver, which will sound one of four different tones (Classical, Westminster Chime, Ding Dong,
or Whistle) for a few seconds. The transmitter is an excellent add on
to the PT2500 panic transmitter kit to monitor areas that you wish to monitor. You may use several of the units in conjunction with each other so you may establish a fully enclosed zone where you may be alerted instantaneously of motion into or out of the area. This is a great way to be alerted of wandering school children or the elderly.

For best results, the transmitter should be about three to four feet off the ground, and about twenty feet from the side of the drive. The transmitter will detect people or vehicles to about fifty feet, but occasionally it may detect
much farther. For this reason, it is best to avoid pointing the transmitter at streets or roads in the distance. 4. The transmitter must remain completely immobile or a false signal may result. For this reason, avoid mounting the transmitter on flimsy objects or small diameter trees that may move in the wind. The transmitter comes with
two mounting brackets. The plate mount is for outdoor applications such as trees, posts, etc. The swivel mount is for indoor applications such as pointing towards dorways, windows, etc. Any time more adjustment is needed for the transmitter position.

There are selectable sensitivity and reset duration settings so you may program the unit to suit each unique application:

The jumpers settings are as follows:
Range: High: more than 50 feet
Medium: 20-50 feet
Low: less than 20 feet
LED: ON: LED will flash when it detects
OFF: LED is always dark
Filter: ON: set for outdoor use
OFF: set for indoor use
Reset: 10 seconds to reset after activation
120 seconds to reset after activation

This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC rules, operation of this device is subject to the following conditions: 1. This device may not cause harmful interference. 2. This device must accept any interference, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

The DCPT-2500 transmitter uses a magnetic probe and 50 feet of direct burial cable to detect vehicles at the monitored location. When the transmitter detects a vehicle it will send a signal to the receiver which will sound one of 4 different tones (Classical , Westminster Chime, Ding Dong, Whistle) for a few seconds. The transmitter can be used to monitor driveways, drive-up windows, etc.

Bury the probe next to the driveway and bury the wire over to a tree or post.
Mount the transmitter box on a tree or post about 4 to 5 feet off the ground. For maximum range between the transmitter and receiver, the transmitter should be mounted on a wooden post or tree (steel posts may cause
interference with the radio signal). Although the maximum range is about a 1/2 mile, things such as hills, trees, metal siding and stucco can all reduce the range. The probe will detect vehicles up to about 10 feet away. Lay the probe beside the driveway, then test the unit by having a car drive by. Once the unit is tested, the probe can be buried. The probe should be buried to a depth of 12 inches, laying parallel to the drive. If your driveway is one car wide, bury the probe right next to the drive . If your driveway is two or more cars wide, bury the probe in the middle of the drive. If the probe and wire will be in a high traffic area, it is best to bury both in conduit. The wire should be
at least 3 inches below the surface to keep it from being damaged by equipment, traffic, etc. In order to protect the wire, it would also be best to have it in conduit where it is exposed above ground below the transmitter box. Mount the transmitter box on a wooden post or a tree. For best result the transmitter should be at least 4 to 5 feet off the ground.

This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC rules, Operation of this device is
subject to the following conditions: 1. This device may not cause harmful interference. 2. This device must accept any interference, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

The BBT-2500 uses Active Infrared to detect anything that passes through the sensor pair and breaks both beams at the same time. When the beams are broken, the unit sends a signal to the receiver. This will sound one of four different tones (Classical, Westminster Chime, Ding Dong, or Whistle). The BBT-2500 can be used to monitor access into any area.

Units ‘A’ and ‘B’ can be mounted up to 300’ apart. Determine height and location you would like to mount the unit. Recommended height is 3-4’. There must be line of sight between ‘A’ and ‘B’. Units must be mounted level. Install the unit on a stable surface. Do not install where trees or other objects can block the beam. If installing in an area with small animals, mounting 3-4’ will avoid false alerts by small animals crossing under the beam, but still detect people and vehicles. Several units may be used in conjunction with each other for staright line, perimeter, or zone monitoring.

This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC rules, Operation of this device is subject to the following conditions: 1. This device may not cause harmful interference. 2. This device must accept any interference, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

The DCHT-2500 transmitter consists of a transmitter box and 25 feet of hose. To install, connect the hose to the stem on the transmitter box, then lay the hose across the driveway. Mount the transmitter box on a tree or wooden post at least three feet off the ground. The maximum range of
the system is about 2500 feet, however, obstructions such as hills, trees and metal present in the area can reduce the range. When the transmitter detects a car, it will send a signal to the receiver, which will sound one of
four different tones (Classical, Westminster Chime, Ding Dong, or Whistle) for a few seconds.
