The 1800Doorbell EZTone Entrance Alert Chime is a popular choice for businesses, gas stations, convenience stores, or other retail locations who want a quality entrance alert that requires no wires or batteries to operate.

The Unit installs on the door frame and a small magnet is installed on the door. A plunger with a metal end is connected to the magnet when the door is shut. When the door is opened, the plunger is pulled until the force of the open door causes it to release and strike a metallic plate inside the unit box, producing a loud, but gentle "ding" sound. This entrance alert is effective and ideal for areas with 3,000 feet or less. The difference between this product, and a wireless product like the DA50L-A is that is does not require batteries or any electrical power supply.

The standard DC1 is dark brown in color. However, introduced in 2010, we also carry the DC1-GRAY which is a light gray color.

We just wanted to take a moment to advise our customers that we've been getting calls from people "thought" they were purchased the real EZ Tone D1 but to their surprise, when they opened the box, the received cheap knock-off, or imitation product manufactured in China.

We have found the Chinese version of this entry alert does not use the same high quality materials as the EZ Tone, American made version. The spring, as an example, that is pivotal to the long term performance of this product is significantly lower quality that the American made counterpart. In addition to that, the warranty is significantly shorter.

The websites that are selling this product are advertising it as the EZ Tone but shipping you the imitation version..."bait and switch" style.
