I hear those sleigh bells ringing and doorbells dinging?

in Doorbells and Door Chimes, wireless doorbells

Call me crazy, but my next mission is to get one of the fanciest doorbells I’ve ever come across.  What’s so special about a doorbell?  It just dings, right?  Wrong.  Like most everyday conveniences, doorbells have also been greatly affected by technology.  Not only do you get choices like a wired doorbell, wireless doorbell, lighted doorbell, etc., but you also can now get ones that really express your style and personality.  If you are one of those who really get into the holidays, the recordable chime is one of the most versatile doorbells in the market.

This fabulous type of device has the capability to play anything you like…or rather, anything you can record!  And it’s a bit more advanced than the rudimentary set-up created by Ferris Bueller in days long past.  Besides having the basic doorbell chimes or ding-dongs, these doorbells can record your voice, other sounds or even music from your MP3 player.  The possibilities are only as endless as your time and creativity.  Some nifty ideas include adding some screams or spooky music so when trick-or-treaters show up at your door, they are the ones that get tricked.  Or, have some merry holiday music play during the holidays or a cheerful “happy holidays!” from the family greet your visitors.  Don’t forget to record your new year’s greetings, as well.  And when hosting a party to watch your favorite sports team on TV with your friends, don’t forget to show your team spirit as you welcome your guests at the front door by recording the team’s fight song.

In addition to using this device for the holidays, you can also create specific greetings for special family events, such as birthdays, weddings, graduations, etc.  This type or doorbell is available as a wired device, or as a wireless battery-operated device.  You can also get this style as a decorative wooden box to blend better with your décor.

Whatever the occasion, holiday or celebration in your life, remember to show your enthusiasm and spirit by programming your doorbell to welcome your guests as warmly as possible and get them into the spirit as well.  Although a doorbell greeting can seem to be a small insignificant part of your home, you can easily transform it into a feature your guests and visitors will sure to remember for a long time.  And I bet you’ll soon become the talk (and possibly the envy) of the neighborhood!
