The Creepy Doorbell

in Doorbells and Door Chimes, wireless doorbells

Off in the background you hear a wonderful chime filling the house; it’s the doorbell at the front door going off. Standing you walk towards the front of the house wondering whom in the world would be ringing the doorbell so late at night. As you open the door you give a little gasp of shock, there is no one there. No problem, some children running around the neighborhood must be playing with the doorbells and running out to the street, laughing as the people come to the door to see who had rung the doorbell.

Grumbling a little bit you walk back to the comfort of your living room to continue reading your book by the warm fire brewing in the fireplace. Flicking on the television for a little noise in the background there is a commercial on talking about none other, doorbells. Chuckling to yourself you flip the channels trying to find something to watch that does not involve doorbells.

As the night wears on, you grow tired and knowing that you are fully relaxed enough to go on to bed, you stand stretching. Reaching for the remote, flipping the television off you head for the stairs that will lead you to your wonderful and comfortable bed. Rushing past you your tabby takes off at full speed knowing that it is time to lay down with her master and snuggle in for the night. Just as you are about to step off onto the landing at the top of the stair the doorbell down below rings again.

Saying words that should not be uttered out of a lady, you walk back down the flight of stairs to the front door to answer it once more on this night. Once again there is not a soul at the door, grumbling, you shut the door back and lock it tight. Going back up the stairs you go on back to your bedroom and hoping that the doorbell madness is over with for the evening.

Waking up to the glorious sunlight streaming in through your windows you smile a pleasant smile and shake off the creepiness from the night before. Nuzzling your tabby beside you, you gently push her off the bed so that you can go ahead and get up and get ready for the day ahead.

After getting ready for the day you walk out the front door and look around just wondering if you could see something out in the light now, see if there are any clues to who was messing with the doorbells in the neighborhood from the night before. Walking down the driveway towards the street you catch a glimpse of an empty bottle by the bushes. Shaking your head you snatch it up and throw it away in the recycling bin and go start your car. You go through your day work with a smile on your face, enjoying the company from everyone else, getting a lot accomplished on this day, with no fears.
